Small amounts of liquid around a pod or coil are common; a steady leak usually has a specific cause.
Checks to make
- Overfilling. Leave the small air gap the manufacturer specifies when refilling; a full tank cannot regulate airflow properly.
- Liquid in the airway. Liquid can be pushed into the central airway by hard puffs. Remove the pod and blot the airway with a tissue.
- Seals and fitting. Check that the pod or tank is seated squarely and that no rubber seal is trapped, torn or missing.
- Pressure and temperature changes. Air travel and warm environments can force liquid through the wicking openings. Store devices upright and at room temperature.
- A worn coil. A coil at the end of its life may no longer hold liquid in the wick.
If the device continues to leak with a new pod or coil, contact the manufacturer, or get in touch with us through our contact form and we will help.
Questions
- Should I store my device upright?
- Yes. Storing a filled pod or tank upright reduces the chance of liquid seeping past the wicking openings.
- Is a little condensation normal?
- A small amount of moisture around the coil area is normal in use. A continuous flow of liquid is not.
